Jewish artist Adam Rhine creates highly detailed ornate Judaic paintings in watercolor, colored pencil, and acrylic. His intricate work combines modern palettes and aesthetics with the influence of medieval illuminated manuscripts. Each work is crafted to glorify the infinite nobility of the Lord and to visually bring forth His energy within different combinations and complex patterns.
This unique calendar celebrates life, as declared in the Hebrew expression of joy, “L'Chaim!” (To Life!). Over the past two decades, Rhine has illuminated the word “chai” in several original acrylic and watercolor paintings. Some of those works are featured here, along with new works that symbolize Etz Chayim (The Tree of Life), Beriah (Creation), and Shachar (The Dawn), the rebirth of life each morning.
