The aim of the book is to show techniques used for the analysis of difficult engineering problems, such as fluid flow, heat transfer, solidification and plasticity, all common in materials processing. The governing equations for these classes of engineering problems are presented and Numerical techniques are discussed. Examples are given from metals casting, forging and cutting. The book is suggested to be used as an introduction and encyclopaedia for the solution of advanced problems.
