Petra Johansson is a drama philologist and theatre scholar with a focus on Czech avant-garde theatre, gender representation, and the cultural dynamics of interwar Czechoslovakia. Her research combines textual analysis with a deep understanding of theatrical practices and historical context, providing valuable insights into performance during this significant period. In her work, she investigates the interplay between female characters in Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich's plays and the traditions of commedia dell'arte, exploring how these historical influences shape contemporary interpretations.

In addition to her academic work, Petra is an accomplished actress and director with over thirty years of experience in the performing arts. She has written numerous theatre plays, film scripts, and children’s books, drawing on her extensive background to enhance her work.
