Ljuset som förändrar världen Det är krävande tider för många på jorden. Det är som om livet självt enträget kallar oss att öppna upp för en annan livsväg, ljusets och kärlekens väg. Det är essensen i Nanna Aida Svendsens diktverk, ”The Touch of Nordic Light” som nu ges ut på Förlagshuset Siljans Måsar. Det nordiska ljuset Bokens titel är hämtad från Stockholms skärgård. Nanna upplevde att skönheten där, stillheten och ljusets kvalitet formade en slags inbjudan till hennes hjärta och erbjöd henne en källa till inspiration och tröst, berättar hon. In English: The path of love is challenging. We have not learned well yet as a culture to inhabit it. One way of describing love is as a feeling response to a safe attraction. Both qualities are important. We need to feel safe on every level physical and emotional, as well attracted tp feel love. What does it take to feel safe inside ourselves? What does it take to be attractive as a person to ourselves? What values are important? What does it take to inhabit them? And to offer a love like that to someone else? What does it take to find, follow the heart? Nanna has found there is something about the north, not only magic dance of the northern lights themselves, but also the North Star. Not the brightest or most forceful of stars, yet there is something about its constant soft refined light that is reassuring. It is also a trust worthy guide. Perhaps scandinavia has a similar role to play in the world now? And perhaps it is time for us to discover how to be tender with ourselves and one another, steadfast, and become lights in dark times just like the North Star? She found the beauty, the stillness and the quality of the light of the Stockholm archipelago formed an invation to her heart and offered her a source of inspiration and solace. Hence the title of the book. The Touch of Nordic Light speaks of a journey of the heart. It speaks of the power of love to bring us alive and open us to pain, as well as to joy, and take us to places we might not have expected. It speaks of living in the Stockholm archipelago where the beauty and light can conjure the heart and offer a source of inspiration and solace. These are challenging times. We know all is not well. The earth itself, just like our hearts, is calling for awareness, wisdom and love. You could say our hearts are being called to awaken and our consciousness is being called to evolve – that we are being asked to find and follow a guiding light within. Not always an easy path, but one that this work, in its small way, seeks to illuminate. And when there’s not much time for reading, it can be beautiful, even consoling, simply to open the book at random, and see what is revealed. For The Touch of Nordic Light is in essence a companion of the heart.
