In our modern societies, there is a silent paradox: The more comfortable life becomes, the more man loses his weapons. By avoiding difficulty, we lose the strength it should have given us. By dint of wanting to protect our children from suffering, we take away their ability to build themselves. By confusing love with ease, we prepare for fragility. I grew up in an environment where everything was given to me: Security, stability, food, affection, means. I didn;t have to fight to survive, nor did I have to fight to move forward “ it creates passivity"
